Sony BCT-10G Betacam Video Cassette

Designed specifically for your Betacam and Betacart equipment, BCT-G is the broadcast standard videocassette from Sony, the developers of the Betacam format. In BCT-G, VIVAX particles provide high output while a smooth surface and Carbon-mirror back-coating reduce noise.

SSA (specific surface area) refers to the sum total surface area of one gram of magnetic particles. The uniformly needle shaped VIVAX particles employed in BCT-G videotape are so small that they rate an SSA of 40 square meters, for outstanding picture and sound quality, with reduced modulation noise.

Sony's Carbon-mirror back-coating not only reduces dropouts and electrostatic discharge noise, it also promotes runnability. For extremely reliable Betacart operation, tape transport stability and picture quality remain outstanding even after heavy use.

An advanced cross-linked binder achieves high packing density for
greater output, while preserving durability and flexibility. Together
with optimum orientation, precision calendaring, and surface
smoothing, this binder system maximizes the performance of Sony's
exclusive VIVAX magnetic particles.
